Private Residence

Description

A Home for a Writer and an Artist

Lovingly referred to as "The Petite Chateau," the design for this Bexley home maintains understated elegance around every corner.

Tall ceilings and an open floorplan help to create a sense of grandeur while the house maintains its charm. Built in cabinetry and feature walls provide a place for each piece of art work, adding a pleasing focal point at every turn.

A sweeping staircase adds a dramatic flourish in the two story central hall leading upstairs to the guest rooms.

Immersed in light, the great room is a comfortable place for entertaining while the private patios provide a focal point upon entering the front door. Floor to ceiling windows flank the limestone fireplace.

The library, located just off of the great room, offers a cozy retreat for the end of the day as well as the flexibility to extend the entertaining space.

French doors open the kitchen to a tailored formal dining room, while natural northern light filters in through an adjacent pair of glazed French doors overlooking yet another secluded garden patio.
